Ky-Mani Marley, one of the most well-known and wealthy Reggae Singers was born on 26 February 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. In the classic cult movie Shottas in which he was a co-star with Wyclef. Ky-Mani recorded his first album, titled Like Father Like Son in 1996. This was later followed with Dear Dad", which was a top-ranked album on charts in the British reggae charts. In 1997, Ky-Mani teamed up along with Praswell (Fugees) to record Avenue an acclaimed cover that was a cover of the song by Eddy Grant Electric Avenue. Marley was a part of the Midem event (an international music festival), which was first staged in Miami. Marley did a live performance in the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by Caribbean News Agency across 36 nations. Marley was engaged in a bidding war. In 1997 he joined Gee Street/V2 Records.
