Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name could be spelled in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. She has previously recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. She gained some further recognition through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano that was in the attic. She was fascinated by its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather as a career. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. Her inspirations include famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love of Bjork's style. She decided to start performing her songs publicly when her mom suggested they might help others not be famous with her music, but rather to help those around them see their own importance and how they can affect the world. When she was six She began playing the piano and at nine was writing music. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. The only thing she loves is to compose music. For her, music is the best method of feeling anything.
