Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competes within the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament, beating Suzane Mill in the finals via a majority vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, a medal that was bronze in 2008 as well as she won a gold medal in the year 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champions in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in by ringing in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 World Championship 2012 for Light Welterweight along with in the lightweight division of Lion Fight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She won by TKO during the 2nd and continued to beat her next two fights at the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped for a few minutes from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. She left the promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior fighting abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. After this win, Antonina received the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight following her first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova in the rear with a choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night in this match. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
